The Admissions Accelerator
How We Can Help Your Child Get Into Their Dream College
Claim 1 of the 50 Seats Today
For each cohort, we only accept 50 students. This is to ensure the best support for every one of our members. Our goal is not to sell as many seats as possible—it's to get you results. Cohorts open periodically based on availability.
Students of all grade levels are welcome to join—the earlier the better. You will have full support and access to the program from now until graduation.
What's Inside the Admissions Accelerator?
The Admissions Accelerator is an A-to-Z course for getting into your dream school. It took us over 12 months to create. We have put all our experience and expertise into it, with nothing held back.
Module 1: Resume Superboost
In high school, every club, activity, or pursuit has an opportunity cost. Students only have 24 hours in a day, with plenty to worry about already. So don't chase things that won't move the needle. The key is not to add more responsibilities onto your plate—it's to avoid the time sinks that don't serve you. In this module, we'll help you stay on the right path and set a powerful snowball effect into motion. It covers:
- A 360° Personal Assessment that paints a crystal clear picture of where you are... and what you need to do to reach your goals.
- Planning "perfect" extracurriculars that stand out and impress admissions officers... without being spread too thin.
- The biggest traps to avoid, and summer activities that colleges love & hate. You might be surprised by some that made the list.
- Landing prestigious summer programs and internships that "feed" into top colleges.
- Creating a Master Calendar of key milestones and deadlines to be your one-stop game plan.
- How to start your own Showstopper Activity. These really light up your resume and can be launched in just a few weeks.
- And more.
Module 2: Academics Bootcamp
Top schools only give students a single score for their academics. In other words, all the individual components—grades, APs, SAT/ACT, awards, rigor of course load—roll up into a single score. Thus, it's critical to avoid tunnel-visioning onto any one component, such as GPA. In this module, we'll show you how to boost your overall “Academic Score” in the most efficient way possible, depending on your situation. It covers:
- Exactly how colleges interpret your test scores. What are the thresholds? How high is high enough?
- SAT vs. ACT: Which one should you take? And now that many schools are "test optional," should you even take them at all?
- AP vs. IB: What's the difference and which is right for you? How many classes should you sign up for? And which ones?
- How to maximize your return on time invested when it comes to test taking and academics.
- The #1 way to boost your standardized test scores in a predictable and painless way.
- How to use alternative academic signals to make up for weaker test scores or a lower GPA.
- And more.
Module 3: Thinking Ahead
Senior year fall is "crunch time" for many students. With applications just around the corner, they realize they're still missing key pieces. For example, many students treat recommendation letters and scholarships as afterthoughts. But these elements can have a big impact on your outcomes. Recommendations let colleges know how others see you. And certain scholarships, outside of their financial benefit, actually signal to colleges that you're motivated, proactive, and responsible. This module will help you prepare for these important elements. It covers:
- The "perfect" number and types of recommendations, who to ask for them, and when to ask for them.
- How to secure rockstar recommendations, even if you don't have close teacher-student relationships.
- All of the financing options at your disposal, and how college can be more affordable than you may think.
- Different scholarship tiers and how to spot and scoop up low-hanging fruits.
- Putting together your personal plan to save thousands on tuition, while also improving your admissions chances.
- And more.
Module 4: 360° Application Strategy
Getting all of your activities, academics, and recommendations in line is vital. But so is planning out your exact strategy for applying to colleges. The right strategy can make the application process efficient, stress-free, and even fun. It gives you peace of mind, knowing that you have every outcome mapped out. In this module, we'll break down practical strategies for selecting schools and applying. It covers:
- Finding the right college fit, even if you don’t have a lot of time for college visits.
- Picking your target, safety, and reach schools wisely... to build a safety net while still aiming for your dream school.
- Impactful timing strategies such as when and how to apply Early Decision or Early Action.
- Optimizing your chances through scenario mapping and contingencies at critical junctures.
- Personal branding strategies for your application, based on by your central passion.
- And more.
Module 5: Essay Bootcamp
With record numbers of applicants to top colleges, your essay is more important than ever. This is one place where you can take control of the narrative and tell your unique story. Your essays make you 3-dimensional, rather than just a list of credentials. This module takes all the guesswork out of writing the perfect essay... and it has produced some truly spectacular pieces. It covers:
- The four key acceptance triggers, and where admissions officers look for them.
- The step-by-step process for writing a standout Common App essay ("personal statement") based on your central passion.
- Robust essay frameworks that have been proven to work for hundreds of past students.
- Idea starters: 58 real essays from students who got into Harvard University.
- The ultimate editing checklist... that's more comprehensive than the ones most professional editors use.
- How to answer any prompt you'll run across, from "Why This College?" to odd "curveball" questions.
- And more.
Module 6: Putting It All Together
Many students lose steam by the time they get to filling out their applications or attending their interviews. After all, they’ve just completed a long and challenging process... taking tests, writing essays, doubling down on activities, and so on. But here's where the winners separate themselves. At this point, more than ever, you'll need to follow through and finish strong. So this is the module for sealing the deal. It covers:
- How to tell your unique story and really SHOW the college WHY they should accept YOU.
- A guided walkthrough of the Common App and Coalition App, so you don't miss any key details.
- A workshop on crafting a professional-looking resume with your activities, scores, and accomplishments.
- Insider secrets from alumni interviewers, including the notes they share with the college (swiped from real reports).
- Practice interview questions and answers based on real data... so you won't need to go in blind.
- And of course, a 360° application audit to make sure you've hit every key decision criteria before you hit "send!"
Bonuses
Now, that’s just the core program. But our mindset is always: “how can we stack every possible advantage into your corner?” So in addition to the core modules, the Accelerator includes several unique bonuses.
Direct Access to Jordan and David
Here's the reality: school counselors are already spread too thin, and they can’t always answer your questions in a timely manner. Between these two classes, which one should I take? Is this a good summer camp to go to? Should I take that test? All these decisions could be critical to your success. Taking or dropping a class/club could have huge ripple effects through the rest of high school. So let us provide that expert guidance for you. All Admissions Accelerator members get direct email access to us, the co-founders. So if any of these questions arise, we’re a quick email away and we’re fully invested in your success.
Ultimate Resource Bank
When it comes to resources and tools, we’ve left no stone unturned. The program contains a treasure trove of resources that streamline the process. Trying to find a summer program that's highly regarded by admissions officers? Here's a hand-picked list of pre-vetted summer programs for all interests. Want to start your own activity or project? Here are step-by-step blueprints that will get you up and running quickly. Time to ask your teachers for recommendations? Here are plug-and-play scripts that will land you rockstar letters. These are just the tip of the iceberg!
Full Family Access, From Now Until Graduation
We have students of all grades in this program... from middle school to 12th grade. We encourage families to join early. So to make that practical, every student gets full access until graduation. Also, if you have multiple children, you don’t need to buy multiple spots. You will have access until all your children graduate. So you pay once, and they all benefit. Finally, you will automatically get all updates for free, through your member portal.
Live, Regular Updates
The college admissions space is evolving rapidly. For example, when the pandemic hit, many colleges began experimenting with test-optional policies. In response, we released a new module with 50 new strategies, tips, and tactics for a post-COVID environment. And with developments like the Supreme Court getting rid of Affirmative Action, the landscape is always evolving. Don’t worry, we’re here to guide you no matter what happens. Members receive all these timely updates for free, automatically.
About the Instructors
The Admissions Accelerator was created by two Harvard grads who are passionate about helping motivated students succeed. We've helped over a thousand families so far, and we're just getting started.
Jordan Tung, Co-Founder graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Applied Math. After a successful track record in college admissions consulting, Jordan has now made his expertise available to families all over the country, online. Jordan was accepted into every Ivy League school, plus Stanford.
David Ma, Co-Founder graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Statistics & C.S. After founding a leading data science education company, David has now partnered with his long-time friend to demystify the college admissions process. David was accepted into every Ivy League school, plus Stanford.
30-Day 'Ivy-Clad' Guarantee
Our mission is to earn 10,000 success stories with our Admissions Accelerator over the next 10 years. We are both Ivy League grads who value our reputation immensely.
If, at anytime within 30 days of enrollment, you feel that the program is not a good fit, we will happily provide a full refund with no questions asked.
I'm Ready to EnrollPeople don’t like to say this so bluntly... but the college a student attends will affect who they meet, which jobs they can access, and even their future earning potential. Yes, college is just four years, but it affects the rest of a student’s life.
That’s why the best college consultants charge over $10-$20K per client... and are still unable to keep up with demand. The Admissions Accelerator is well worth that same price tag. It took us over 12 months to create this program, and we've held nothing back. But most importantly, it simply works. Graduates of the Admissions Accelerator consistently get into their top choices... despite record-low overall acceptance rates in recent years.
However, our mission is to make world class admissions consulting more affordable. We want to help 10,000 motivated students get into their dream schools over the next 10 years. That's what drives us. So we’re not charging $10K... we're charging 1/10th of that.
If that sounds reasonable, then we look forward to welcoming you/your child to the program. But please note that we limit cohorts to 50 students to guarantee the best support for each one. So we encourage you to join while there are still spots available.
